10/5/1994"Rocking the Boat: Musician Is Fighting for Disabled Access to Markets--and the Music Industry"Los Angeles TimesThe self-proclaimed “Notorious Godfather of the Disabled” Dorik Perman is in a fight with the Bank of America at 6300 Sunset Boulevard to comply with building accessibility codes. After filing a complaint, city inspectors investigated and issued an order requiring the bank to lower its teller windows. In Perman’s early years, he played at famous Strip nightclubs like the Roxy (9009), the Whisky (8901), Gazzarri’s (9039), and Club Lingerie (6507), all the while fighting against the absence of rock performers with disabilities.
